Tasnim won The Muslim News Awards for Excellence 2013 as she was awarded the Ibn Battuta Award for Excellence in Media 2013 for her human rights and interfaith journalism.
Tasnim was also nominated at the Muslim Writers Awards for the Young Journalist of the Year 2011 for her articles on CNN on the French ban on the burka and other articles across the breadth of publications that she has written for. She was also shortlisted for the British Muslim Awards 2017 Muslim Woman of the Year and 2014 for Services to Media and the Asian Women of Achievement Award in Media 2012.
Tasnim is a freelance contributor to BBC Radio 2's Pause for Thought segment where she shares her wisdom and wit. She is the producer of the documentary 'Grenfell Tower: Voices from the Ground' highlighting the strong knit community who came together after the tragedy.
She received the Ambassador for Peace Award from the Universal Peace Federation for her interfaith journalism work in promoting better interfaith relations.
She has been voted as one of the Top 40 Inspirational Muslim Women in the World by American Muslim Magazine ‘MB Muslima’.
Tasnim is the author of the books Allah’s Gifts published by Greenbird Book Publishers, Aleena Celebrates Eid and Its Ramadan published by International Islamic Publishing House (IIPH) and Muslimah’s Key to Jannah and has an upcoming academic book 'Islamic Finance: A Practical Introduction' due be published with Kube Publishing.
